This web site will be about progress I make and understanding the 14MZ software and files.
I am starting this page with a first attempt to working on and understand the .MDL files.

RCFan has started a forum for those that want to joint he team and help hacking the MDL files and code.

The reason this page is starting out is because I was unhappy with the fact that I could not put my models in a specific order.  That is they are made first come first serve and no matter what you do (copy to CF in a order and copy back, make extra copies, etc) you cannot change the order in which the models are displayed.  So I decided there must be some way Futaba decides how these things are ordered!  As I went to look at a MDL file I started to figure out it's format and in fact found a date and time stamp is in the file.  The 14mz displays the models in numbered slots based on this date and time stamp!

I have now learned to EDIT this date and time stamp and thus allow you to change the order in which your model are displayed e.g. which slots 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.  It's all based on the model creation date!

So I decided to start this web site as the FIRST 14MZ project / hacking web site!
